about moonlight legend

Moonlight Legend is an online TCG focusing on the animation of the Sailor Moon series. TCG stands for Trading Card Game. In this case, the game is played online with virtual cards. But that doesn't mean it's any less fun than actual card collecting! In your quest to master card sets and level up, you'll get to play games, enter contests, be creative, and interact with other members.

In this game, you take on the role of a Sailor Soldier who is trying to grow in power.
No, really. Keep reading. ^_^

tcg theme

If you were a member during ML's first run, you probably remember that there were decks for anime and manga characters, anime bank scenes and memorable scenes, manga acts, and various puzzle images. Oh, and I had seriously considered adding PGSM too!

This ML is different. Regular decks are focused exclusively on the anime, and for now, cover only bank scenes (transformations, attacks, openings and endings) and memorable scenes (season finales, etc), and I will probably add a section for high-quality scanned artwork (calendars, DVD and LD covers). I MAY add character decks in the future. Manga images appear only on special cards, and ONLY the colored art.

Why the change? A few reasons, but all really come back to that's what I like. I love the anime and I'm not very familiar with the manga. I'm not particularly fond of Takeuchi Naoko's style. I'm not satisfied with the quality of images I've used for character decks in the past.

So, the theme for now is anime scenes.

cards

Cards are the heart of the game. One of your major goals in the TCG is to collect complete sets of cards (mastering). Regular cards come in sets of 20, and special cards come in sets of 10.

Regular cards feature anime images, and special cards feature color manga images.
Here's some examples.

regular cards: Each is worth ONE toward your total card value.

special cards: Each is worth TWO toward your total card value.

coupons

Coupons are like IOUs for cards. There are two types, regular and special, and each one has three variations - so a total of six coupons exist.

You can trade coupons for random cards OR choice cards. Here's how it works:
- one coupon -> one random card of that type
- set of three coupons of a single type -> choice card of that type

-> THREE random regular cards or ONE choice regular card

-> THREE random special cards or ONE choice special card

starseed points & powers

Everyone has a Starseed, right? Well, some are more powerful than others, and here is how you can enhance the power of YOUR Starseed. Games and activities will also give out Starseed Points that you can use to purchase new powers!

This is a complex topic, so please visit the special page I've created.

levels

Level is determined by two things:
- the VALUE of your cards
- the NUMBER of stamp cards you have completed

This is a TRADING card game, after all. You can't advance if you don't trade.

level card value stamp cards
One 0-75 0
Two 76-150 0
Three 151-250 1
Four 251-350 2
Five 351-450 3
Six 451-600 5
Seven 601-750 7
Eight 751-900 9
Nine 901-1100 12
Ten 1101-1300 15
Eleven 1301-1500 18
Twelve 1501-1750 22
Thirteen 1751-2000 26
Fourteen 2001-2250 30
Legend 2251+ 34+

Once you reach Legend level, you can get rewards for every 250 card worth and 4 stamp cards.
- Legend +1 >> 2500 worth and 38 stamp cards
- Legend +2 >> 2750 worth and 42 stamp cards
- and so on

Each level up earns:
- three random regular cards
- three choice regular cards
- one random special card

You can claim these rewards by filling out the Level Up Form.

mastering

When you collect all of the cards in a set, you are considered a master of that set. The rewards are the same for mastering regular and special sets. Specials are harder to complete, but the set is half the size, so it balances out. ^_^

Each mastery earns:
- two random regular cards
- two choice regular cards
- one random special card

You can claim these rewards by filling out the Mastery Form.
